Autumn For The Elephants is a project born from the union between Photography, Fashion and Animal Welfare, its mission is to raise awareness to the humanity about what is happening with the animals that inhabit our planet and the best way to get attention was to do it through fashion.
Climate change, invasion of their ecosystem, deforestation and poaching are the main causes of bringing one of the most emblematic species of our era on the brink of extinction, "The Elephants". The idea came by my inordinate love for the wildlife and the only way for a new fashion photographer like me to help was to embark myself with my friends on this photographic adventure, but getting the elephants was the hardest part of all so I decided to call all kinds of ecological instances where I could solve this dilemma. After some days I found the "International Elephant Foundation", they showed some interest after see my work and intentions and approached me to the caregivers of these beautiful female Elephants.
Without wasting more time me and my team created the idea from zero and then seek to get sponsors interested in the cause. The first sponsor to join was the New York gallery "These Fine Walls" as the official store of this project, which will donate part of the proceeds to the IEF.
Thereafter we proceeded to create the concept and do the styling, we get brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Chanel, Alexander McQueen among others go up to the ship. Also the L.A. showroom "CLD" joined too providing us with some of their jewelry designers to embellish the model.
At the same time the prestigious "Neiman Marcus San Diego" joined equally and donated pieces from the latest collection of Gucci for the photo shoot. In less than a week we realized that we had already achieved everything we wanted and even more.
